A spectacular lithograph with intricate detail and historical significance! The image is of a group of men gathered around a table toasting the defeat of the “Boxer Rebellion” in which factions of Chinese (“Boxers”) wanted to rid China of foreigners. In the background are various troops in formation, including a group with a small American flag before them.
The colors are vivid and the graphic appeal is very high. The condition is outstanding, with the full original calendar pad and no significant flaws. The frame and glass, although not original, are from the appropriate period of the late 1890s to early 1900s.
