Condition/Comments:  This sign has some light and scattered scratching but, overall, exhibits a very clean face. There are a few dimples as well, but they do not detract. The cardboard backing is heavily water stained. The design elements of this sign are reminiscent of a Piet Mondrian Modernist painting, right down to the canvas-looking background texture. Mondrian died in 1944, a relatively short time before this sign’s creation so perhaps the image was created by the designer as a form of tribute.
