Reference: n/aBrewery: Anheuser-Busch Inc. St. Louis, MissouriManufacturer/Plant: See comments/descriptionDate of manufacture: ProhibitionCanning Code: n/a Contents/Type: N/ACondition/Comments: 1920's era illuminated Anheuser Busch Budweiser Malt Syrup reverse painted milk glass lamp. About 5 x 7 inches. The A-B Barley Malt Syrup brand was promoted during prohibition as an essential ingredient for bread and cookies. Bakers (home-brewers!) quickly realized the product could be mixed with Budweiser Yeast to help make their own beer. Since beer was banned during prohibition, the product sold well. This lamp appears to have it's original cloth cord and is in amazing condition, for being a century old. This NABA LOT is eligible for reduced buyers premium to NABA Convention attendees. See Terms and Conditions of Sale. See photos or inspect lots in Brimfield, MA or at NABA in Milwaukee for primary assessment of condition.
