Operated by Edward Habich, a German immigrant who came to the U.S. in 1845, the brewery was in Boston from 1872 to 1902. Made up of seven (7) panels, it is tied together by its original ribbon. Six panels each contain two months of the year and tell the story of Evangeline, an epic poem by Longfellow, first published in Boston in 1847. Each panel measures 11.75 x 9.25 inches and carries the brewery name and brands of beer. The seventh panel is a beautiful advertising piece Compliments of the brewery. Made by Louis Sprang lithographers of Boston, this 123 year old calendar can be displayed as is or framed for a striking presentation. Billhead from same brewery included.
