The double triangle star toward bottom was known as the Brewers Star, with each point of the star representing the six aspects of brewing most critical to purity: the water, the hops, the grain, the malt, the yeast, and the brewer. Nice early oval WM Peter factory scene beer tray, just after prohibition. Very nice condition. Has a few small surface marks and scratches, and a little minor oxidation below the word style. Maker's mark located bottom center reads Electro-Chemical Engraving Co., Inc., New York, N.Y. A little under 17 x 14 inches.
