Condition/Comments: This is likely the best known example of this label. It is a patents pending can from circa 1937 and is rated R9 in USBCOI. Incredibly scarce variation and impossible in this condition. Very close to mint, with a few small canning dings. Bottom opened with an Ohio tax lid intact. Any small light spots visible in the photos are factory paint anomalies that appear to be small popped bubbles in the black ink where the gold underpainting shows through; they are not nicks/scratches.
