Condition/Comments: The namesake fort on this tray is attributed as the founding location of the city of Chicago. The fort was removed in 1857 to make way for the encroaching sprawl of the expanding city. While the phone exchange can be traced to before Prohibition the tray style is from the 1930s. The tray has an excellent shine despite the blemishes shown. Difficult to see in the photos are some areas of scratching on the inner rim between 9- and 12-o-clock.
