Reference: USBC 113-14, USBCOI 673Brewery: Peter Doelger Brewing Corp. Harrison, New JerseyManufacturer/Plant: American Can Co.Date of manufacture: circa 1930sCanning Code: 17 - Jersey City, NJContents/Type: 12 ozCondition/Comments: The heavy hitter of our Doelger trio. Who does not love a bock can? This one is from 1937, rated at R9, and is graphic as can be. A simple and illustrative design with that giant goat right up in your face! This can shows similar condition characteristics as the previous lot but to a larger degree: spotting is slightly heavier, there is more evident oxidation. Add to the mix areas of bleaching or fading on the right side. The most evident affects the LG in DOELGER and the goats right horn and ear. The OI panel is affected as well. Despite these, this can is going to attract attention if it ends up on your shelf. Dont be put off by the imperfections. You may never get another chance to add a cleaner example of this R9 can. See brightly lit photos. For more info or questions regarding this lot contact Dan via email.
