Condition/Comments: This Vienna art plate is somewhat unusual in that it portrays a near full-figure portrait rather than a typical head-and-shoulders crop. In addition, the woman is actually doing something as opposed to just sitting looking pretty. In this case, she is shielding a candle flame from the breeze, her face softy illuminated by the candlelight. A very engaging portrait. Signed Wagner. Has a few chips and small oxidation spots but has retained a nice sheen and is not heavily crazed. Faint inward pinpoint ding in the very center of the plate. Very nice specimen! 10-inch diameter.
