Schaefer Minneapolis Beer 1950s Large Illuminated Lucite Sign With Wood Base

Condition/Comments: Large lucite sign is illuminated from a light within the base that shines up to catch the engraved/etched details in the plastic. Sign panel is in very good condition with light wear but no significant loss or discoloration. There is some crackling in the black areas. The base is made of plywood with shelf brackets attached to the back. Wood veneer shows wear from use, particularly on the edges and corners, and a layer of veneer is peeled away from the front along the bottom. There is no makers mark. The piece lights, though the light flickers either from a dying bulb or failing ballast. 18 w x 19 h x 4 d. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
