Brewer/Business Name: Louis F. Neuweilers Sons, Allentown, Pennsylvania
Manufacturer/Plant: Continental Can Co.
Date of manufacture: circa 1950s
Contents/Type: 32 oz
Dimensions: 3-3/4 w x 7-1/2 h.
Comments/description: This rare can may not be a non-IRTP per se, but may be the very first version on which the tax statement was omitted (as with Tru Blu, Krueger, and Old Style), only to be subsequently added for the duration of the pre-war era. Continental only briefly used the same 9-tooth seam when they resumed making quarts in 1947. Continental had moved away from the obsolete 9-tooth seam for its post-IRTP labels. Can exhibits modest aging so is quite clean overall with little prominent humidity. Most occurrences are under-the-paint type that are hard to discern in the photos and on display. Other marks and wear as shown. Spout has been off and reapplied to facilitate dent removal. Excellent example of this very elusive sleeper variation. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
