Brewer/Business Name: P. Ballantine & Sons, Newark, New Jersey
Manufacturer/Plant: American Can Co.
Date of manufacture: circa 1960s
USBC reference: 218-24 Contents/Type: 16 oz
Dimensions: 2-3/4 w x 6-1/4 h.
Comments/description: 1965 issue for the Princeton Class of 1940 25th reunion. Somewhat confusing image on this years design which shows a tiger mascot with angels wings, a party hat, and playing cards in his hand(paw) apparently leaping from a fire between the 4 and 0 of the class of 40. This is shown on the cover of a LIFE magazine. Perhaps a play on the 9 lives of cats or the reuniting students having survived their wild party college days. Near mint. All items are original unless otherwise noted. For questions, feedback, or to sell a similar item contact Dan via email.
Cans may have minor canning dings at the rims that are not evident in photos. Larger dings that do not show will be noted in the item description. A thin black vertical reflection may show on some can photos.
