Brewer/Business Name: P. Ballantine & Sons, Newark, New Jersey
Manufacturer/Plant: American Can Co.
Date of manufacture: circa 1930s
USBC reference: UNLISTED Contents/Type: 12 oz
Dimensions: 2-3/4 w x 5 h.
Comments/description: Early unlisted variation of the BALLANTINES BREWS label, with very pale copper/gold, no United Brewers seal, and unbeaded lids on both top and bottom. Instead of the seal, this version has a Keglined logo and Others Pending info below the list of brews. This is the Beer mate to the Ale we are offering. For questions, feedback, or to sell a similar item contact Dan via email.

Condition

Not as clean as the Ale, it is still clearly an indoor can that offers a smooth, if speckled, surface and excellent color. Both of the unbeaded lids are clean and the seam is not oxidized. There are small dings on the oval at 4- and 9-o-clock, a larger/deeper ding at the bottom front, another on BALLANTINES BREWS, and one on EXPORT BEER in the Brews list. Cans may have minor canning dings at the rims that are not evident in photos. Larger dings that do not show will be noted in the item description. A thin black vertical reflection may show on some can photos.
