Comments/description: This is one of three similar aluminum tray designs from Dawes, arguably the second toughest, scarcer than the version with the bottle in front of the horse, and perhaps not as tough as the version without background details and ALE & PORTER on the inner rim. NOTE: There MAY be restoration to some of the letters of BLACK HORSE at the top of the inner rim. Exhibits wear from use and some oxidation of the aluminum yet displays well. The sparse touches of original color remain. A hole at the top has been repaired, with denting around the area. Manufactured by Day Name Plates, Ltd. of Toronto. Excellent display.
