Brewer/Business Name: Burkhardt Brewing Co., Boston, Massachusetts
Manufacturer/Plant: Unknown
Date of manufacture: Pre-Prohibition
Contents/Type: N/A

Comments/description: Bottle was likely produced to celebrate pennant fever in Boston for the Red Sox and Braves who, between them, won World Series titles in 1912, 1914, 1915, and 1916. The label is copyrighted 1914 and the punch is 2-0-3-7-14. Streaming red pennant looks almost endless! It is difficult to see in the photos but this particular label reads CONTAINS LESS THAN 0.5% ALCOHOL BY VOLUME below the pennant. While not a Prohibition brew, the low alcohol may have permitted its sale at the ballparks and kept rowdiness to a minimum after raucous wins. RARE. All items are original unless otherwise noted. Condition

Tears as shown. While somewhat darkened, colors are still pretty good even though fine print is difficult to read. We are aware of no better example of this rare bottle.
