Comments/description: We have estimated this sign to be from the 1950s, although it could be as old as the 1930s or as new as the 1970s, given the Insurance and Banking industries often used very conservative signage up to that time to project an image of tradition, reliability, and longevity. This shows in the style of this sign which includes an etched-look illustration and classic typeface selection. The engraved border is also quite traditional. The piece is made of aluminum with the black areas slightly recessed. Shows wear and some kinks/bends, but no discoloration. Displays very well.
