Comments/description: Image on face of tray is titled PAUL AND VIRGINIA in reference to the wines named Virginia Dare and Paul Garretts Special. The randy couple is scampering off to who knows where to do who knows what, perhaps influenced by the effects of wine. A very suggestive scene for the times, no doubt inspired by Greek or Roman mythology. All items are original unless otherwise noted. Condition
NOTE: The red in the lower portion of the rim has been restored. All artwork on the face is original. Exhibits crazing and dullness to the paint but no major distracting blemishes. At the very center is a thick, clear, yellowed substance adhered to the surface. The tray imprint can be seen through it.
