Comments/description: This piece consists of a large world map with dated events from WWII, the earliest of which is Japan declaring war on China in 1932. The latest, several dates from late 1942, indicates a likely production date of 1943. Below it is the blue Hampden strip which measures just slightly smaller (about 1/4-inch) in width. Unsure if it is attached to the map or merely positioned behind it. The pieces are backed with corrugated cardboard but, because it is shrink-wrapped in plastic for protection, it is impossible to say whether either piece is adhered to it (or to each other) or not. The piece is creased vertically in two places: roughly at the left edge of the WAR MAP oval, and through the left edge of Australia. Some minor corner and edge wear. Overall excellent condition.
