Comments/description: Prohibition brew actually advertises itself as a Temperance brew, a somewhat opposite stance of most of its contemporaries who chose to promote theirs as being as close to true beers and ales as legally allowed, sometimes merely changing BEER to BREW on product labels. Like many brewers, Portsmouth Brewing Co. did also change their name to Portsmouth Distributing Co. during Prohibition, as reflected on this label. Condition as shown, with a large portion of the label no longer adhered to the glass. A dab of glue or plastic wrap would go a long way. Just a tiny remnant of the neck label remains.
