Comments/description: A portion of the proceeds from this lot will be donated to NABA. This Hudepohl crowntainer was found in France by a contractor who was replacing the roof of a house in the village of Chitry, near Auxerre, which was liberated by American soldiers in August, 1944. A real wartime relic with stories to tell. Never clean or soaked, it is in true as-found condition. The label is discernible and quite smooth with light oxidation.
