Comments/description: Sharp sign combines reverse-painted effect and foiling, with the metallic gold accents really popping. It appears the sign was lithoed and/or screen printed onto the glass, with opening left where the gold shows through. After printing, it looks like the entire back of the sign was foiled with bright gold metal leaf, resulting in a stunning contrast of textures, complimentary colors, and graphic treatment. There is some lifting of the gold and the printed woodgrain background, mostly around the edges, though there is no notable alteration of the color except in the small chips along the bottom. Still displays very nicely. Frame is original.
