Brewer/Business Name: Kalmbach & Geisel Lager Beer Brewery, Springfield, Massachusetts
Manufacturer/Plant: Unknown
Date of manufacture: Pre-Prohibition
Contents/Type: n/a
Dimensions: 5-1/2 w x 9 h; 8-1/2 w x 11 h matted.
Comments/description: The Geisel in the brewery name is the same family of which Theodore (Dr. Seuss) was a part. The founder, Theodore, was the younger Theodores/Dr. Seuss grandfather. The piece is an ad, likely from a city or business directory, program, etc., as there is a color ad on the reverse that promotes a local printer. Mounted to a piece of mat board, it is only adhered along the top so the page can be lifted to see the ad on the back. Some light pink stains on the factory scene are the only notable marks. Very little exists from this tiny, early brewery. All items are original unless otherwise noted. For questions, feedback, or to sell a similar item contact Dan via email.
