A pre-Prohibition advertising tin litho sign from The Monticello Distilling Company, featuring a scene of Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. The sign depicts a hunting scene with horses, dogs, and figures in period attire, with two bottles of Monticello Special Reserve whiskey flanking the central image. It is beautifully self-framed in a faux wood grain finish. About 42 x 30 inches.
Some minor scratches and wear consistent with age and use. The colors are vibrant, and the image is clear. This is the finest example of this tough sign we have seen.
