Comments/description: Originally a bottler in Boston, Neale eventually opened and operated his own brewery for a short period. Embossed bottles can be had but paper label examples such as this are rare. Only a few brews have been found with paper labels and there are precious few examples of any of them. This label is shiny and has possibly been shellacked or varnished; or, it could be a factory finish similar to that known to be used on high-quality labels from Van Nostrand during the same period. Even with the staining shown the colors remain very nice, with some sparkle left in the gold even. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
