Comments/description: A portion of the proceeds from this lot will be donated to NABA. This sign has a pinup quality about it, though perhaps not as revealing, it is certainly as suggestive. Consider the flesh color and tight fit of the womans dress and the position and shape of the buttons on the straps. Makes one do a double-take. The signature is difficult to make out and identify so the artist is unknown to us. Condition of the piece is very good, with some toning evident at upper right and across the bottom portion. Tack and staple holes at top, and some surface scratches, esp where the circa 1940 calendar pad has separated, expose the white paper underneath. Calendar pad is missing. A very evocative piece.
