Comments/description: A portion of the proceeds from this lot will be donated to NABA. One sign of a few from Burger and this artist. Large and colorful scene. From the smoking pipe and floral accent of the hop leaves, to the faux name tag at the bottom and self-framed border, this piece is reminiscent of the elaborate illustrations found on many pre-Pro pieces, yet this sign dates to the 1950s (possibly 1940s, though the bottle label has no IRTP statement). Artist signed at lower left Hy Hintermeister. A very prolific and well-known illustrator, Hintermeisters original works can be had for as little as a few hundred dollars to $15,000 or more depending on size, client, original use, and subject matter. He also did several pieces for Terre Haute Brewing Champagne Velvet. This piece is in excellent condition, with the scratches near the name plate and a little wear on the frame the only issues of note. Very flat with NO notable dings or kinks.
