Comments/description: A portion of the proceeds from this lot will be donated to NABA. While this piece of black Americana can be viewed as historically significant, it can also be seen as racially insensitive and offensive. This piece shows the plantation hands or servants up in arms about how much the Boss loves his Cooks beer, racing one on a tray to the well-to-do man patiently sitting on the porch. Very colorful scene and in perfect step with other advertising of the time from Cooks. There are a few larger areas of wear/scratching that blend pretty well with the busy visuals, one at the bottom of the womans apron, the other on the stairs. Other marks are scratches, paint spatters, some spidering, and isolated oxidation bumps. Numerous edge kinks/bends and dings.
