Brewer/Business Name: Piel Bros., New York, New York
Manufacturer/Plant: See comments/description
Date of manufacture: Various
Contents/Type: n/a
Dimensions: 13 inches
Comments/description: 3 Piels trays, each featuring advertising mascot figure(s). Two older 12-inch trays depict similar but different gnome characters with flowing white beards and a tray of Piels, one much more boldly rendered than the other. The version with the glasses around the inner rim is from American Can Co. while the other is from Continental. Both are in terrific condition with only minor blemishes that take nothing away from the outstanding display. The third tray depicts newer, late-1950s, mascot characters Bert and Harry Piel. This 13-inch tray has some oxidation around the edge on the right side, though the colors remain excellent and the surface shiny everywhere else. There are 6 small indents on Bert and the word PIELS toward the bottom. All items are original unless otherwise noted. For questions, feedback, or to sell a similar item contact Dan via email.
